Development of a compact water softener
Commissioned by Pollet Water Group, our team of product developers designed a compact water softener that can be installed inside a cabinet or beneath a sink.
To allow the softener to also fit inside a column cabinet, we chose to separate the resin and salt compartments into two distinct units. This way, they can be stacked vertically if desired.

A successful result through a creative and cost-efficient approach
This assignment called for a creative approach without losing sight of cost efficiency. To keep the investment under control, we ensured that the same plastic components for the tank and midframe could be used for both units.
By incorporating a interchangeable section in the midframe mould, the part can be used in both units. Only the covers required separate components and moulds.
